Þýskur öfgamaður reynir að hafa áhrif á tónleikahaldara sem tengjast væntanlegu tónleikahaldi hans og hvetur þá til að aflýsa tónleikum Svavars Knúts vegna fordæmingar hans á þjóðarmorðinu á Gaza. Svavar Knútur sendir skilaboð sín á ensku enda heimurinn undir:

Alright, apparently, some weirdo in Germany is working really hard right now on getting venues to cancel concerts in my upcoming tour because I oppose the genocide in Gaza and war generally, sending “concerned emails” to them and being basically obnoxious. Just goes to show, there’s no target too small for islamophobe right wing cancel culture.

Sadly, they guy is a fellow musician. Always pitiful when artists try to hurt other artists living. I have no doubt that one or two venues might buckle to such dishonest acts of cancel culture, it’s just where we are right now. But I have 100% faith that my community knows me and understands my character and what I stand for and most venues will dismiss this ridiculous bullshit. Also, I never get political on stage. That’s not the purpose of my concerts. But if I truly get cancelled, there’s always the fishing boats I really don’t mind.

More money, less worries. I actually think my family would appreciate it, to be honest. But in the meantime, fuck Nazis, whatever new form they take.
